Tiefschwarz will release their third album monday on their own label, Souvenir. We've got a little sneak preview for you. A deep, soulful, house track featuring a crooner vocal by Daniel Wilde.
NewsPosted by Zzzune Sat, February 06, 2010 18:31:22 Shackleton is returning to Copenhagen saturday February 13. to play one of his hypnotic live sets and even treat us with a rare dj-set. Here is what the press release says:
"Shackleton - The talismanic wicker man of modern off-kilter electronic music, Shackleton, is sharpening his knives, preparing to cut the branch where it’s weak. Starting out his world tour in Scandinavia he has agreed to give the basement of Culture Box a very special treatment. Shackletons livesets are always mindblowing and before his liveset he’s going to play a extremely rare dj set with influences and inspirations. Do not expect run-of-the-mill dubstep!"
Once Shackleton is done doing his thing Barry Lyndon and I will have the pleasure of destroying what ever is left over... I am looking very much forward to this one and hope to see some of you there aswell. To set the tone here are two short dj sets from Barry Lyndon and me.
NewsPosted by James Braun Wed, January 13, 2010 17:30:17 Don't miss Equalized and Wax mastermind Shed and our own local favourite Ubebe this Saturday, when Culture Box celebrates it's own 5 year birthday.
NewsPosted by Zzzune Wed, December 16, 2009 13:36:52 Not much to say here. Following Omar-S and Levon Vincent, Jus Ed is the third in a row of american producers to swing by Copenhagen this year. You do not wan't to miss this.

Perlon has signed Shackleton and guess what; He's playing live at Under Vand October 2. This is not to be missed! A part from Shack some others great names are on the line up, making this one of this autumns best parties in very close competition with another party at Under Vand featuring Omar-S on October 30. I'm very psyched about playing at this event and look forward to meeting one of the heroes of Detroit house.
Lot's of respect to Under Vand, Old Man, Escho and everyone else who has worked on these events and helped bring some truely original and inspiring music to Copenhagen.

NewsPosted by James Braun Tue, June 16, 2009 16:12:02 I'm playing at Sonar, or rather, the Kindisch vs Tartelet party at City Hall, Barcelona this Friday. I'll be playing between 5-6 so i suggest Vodka and Red Bull (or something you can buy in dark alleys which I'm not familiar with). Also, the Tartelet crew, DJ T, Enzelkind, David Keno, Gavin Herlihy and Kindisch meistro Evan Baggs. I promise no-nonsense techn!
NewsPosted by James Braun Sun, June 07, 2009 16:54:27 Ok, so there's one final party I have to attend, and then I'll trade in my liver for a new one. Our friends from Salon zur Wilden Renate will take over Kødboderne 18 and they're bringing Renate, as well as Kødboderne, favourites, dOP, Perlon's Zip, Renate's own Peak & Swift and "spezialgäste" - my favourite austrian party girls, Die Schnelle Nummer. One hell of a party!
NewsPosted by James Braun Sat, June 06, 2009 13:18:10 A while ago, we were asked to put together a programme for Saturday night at the Start Festival and since it runs parallel with the Distortion festival, we tried to put together something different. 100% pure Danish dubstep:
NewsPosted by James Braun Fri, June 05, 2009 10:49:08 Today, we'll be attending and playing at Kihoskh's street party, Sønder Boulevard 53, when Distortion goes local in our neighbourhood of Vesterbro. Probably the most diverse party as far as music goes. Later, there's the urban bash at Enghave Plads and then the big party at Enghavevej 80 with Ellen Allien a.m.o. More info here.
Kihoskh Distortion starts at 13:00 so come join us for some techno, hot wieners and the best beer selection in town.

NewsPosted by James Braun Thu, June 04, 2009 16:31:09 Tonight, accalimed Detroit techno producer Carl Craig will give you intelligent boom boom for the soul. Go to Nørrebro for loads of partying in the streets and make sure to end up at Korsgadehallen around 22 to witness true techno in Copenhagen's most rough neighbourhood.
NewsPosted by James Braun Wed, June 03, 2009 18:46:03 Distortion is upon us once again. If you don't know what that means, it's simply the most important electronic festival on Danish soil, situated around the city one area at the time. Today is in the city centre, and I recommend the main party tonight at Charlottenborg Kunsthal. DJ Vadim and Brandt Brauer Frick I will definately go see if I get the chance.
Also, there are street parties all over the place, so head for the city centre and I guarantee you a good time.
NewsPosted by Zzzune Wed, April 29, 2009 13:53:51 Here's some footage from Brandt Brauer Frick's show on saturday. Sorry about the poor quality, hope you'll get an idea of how good an act BBF is. And start looking forward to their Ep on Tartelet rec. out soon and their show at Distortion in june.
