Some future gigs featuring DXD-R related artist...:
· This saturday i'm playing the Distortion preparty - afterparty at Under Vand along with Barry Lyndon. Also known as Tommy from club DRAMA! and Old Man - the only artist to make it to both DXD-R compilations, he's my favorite danish deep techno producer and well worth a listen over here.
· Next week Distortion takes off and we'll be playing a set in a hopefully sunny street in front of our favorite store, Kihoskh, as well as a set at the Distortion final party on June 6.
· This is also the day where we'll be presenting some very exciting new acts from the danish electronic and dubstep underground at Start Festival! We're looking very much forward to this and hope to see some of you there. We'll be selling our latest compilation there aswell in case you don't own a copy already. More info here.
· On June 12 we're hosting another night at Dunkel, and this time the before mentioned Barry Lyndon will join us on the decks. Since he refuses to play a live set he has promised us to throw in lots of his own tracks in his set. Flyer + more info coming soon.
· And last but not least James Braun will be playing at the Kindisch vs. Tartelet night at Sonar, Barcelona on June 19. Not much info on this party yet except the line-up:

Thursday starts of at Rust where I'm playing an hour of warm-up and then we move on to Husets Teater. It's the opening night for both Villains Club and Klub Kærlighed. Friday we play at Kødboderne 18, CPH V including a live performance by our favourite french toasts dOP. Check facebook event here.

James Braun & ZzzunePosted by James Braun Thu, January 15, 2009 00:01:37 I know we've been awfully quiet lately, but fact of the matter is we've been very busy. The DXD-R 003 is coming soon and the release date (and party at Dunkel) is set to the 13th of February so don't miss it. I won't hand out too much info beforehand, but here's a few of the artists involved: MHM One, James Braun, Edmundy, Rosenstand, The Shermann + a lot of other exciting artists. We have some great surprises up our sleeves.
Here's a remix I did recently for Turboweekend. It won't be released as far as I know and might be for the best, but here's my Sunday version of a track from their forth-coming release.

January started out with a nomination for best upcomer at the Steppeulv awards. February came, and we didn’t win it. Instead we put out the first DXD-R W3 release of 2008. DXD-R W3 is online releases which can be live shows, live dj sets etc. February’s DXD-R W3 002 featured a live recording of La Cienda Honduras from April 2000. Read more here. February was also the month of the first Stjernefamilien - a monthly club at Pitstop in Kolding – and the first Netto Rave which we did with Fredski and was a big succeses. Around the same time Fredski put out the first release on Tartelet Records together with Tomboy. April 4th Veto: The Crushing Digits Appendices by James braun – a 5 track remix EP – hit the streets which was in heavy rotation on P3 (Danish National radio). Mostly because of De Sorte Spejdere. In May Veto and JB rejoined forces as they did a show together on P3. The dj set was taped and we put it out as the third W3 release. In October we started our new club at Dunkel called yeah well, Dunkel. The idea was to open Dunkel and it’s audience to a different experience. Different styles of music and visuals which were well received. Around Christmas time the James Braun release on Tartelet Records came out and received great support from people like Claude vonStroke, Laurent Garnier, Jesse Rose, A-Trak, Mike Monday a.m.o. Other highlights on the blog include the nonsense interview with dOP from when they visited us at the second Netto Rave in October, our dj set from Unga Bunga and yet another dj set by the Mysterious Afghan Ninja Turtle..
That’s about our year, it was a good one. How was your’s? This year we have a lot of new stuff in store for you including the next DXD-R compilation, DXD-R W3 007 with Danish dubstep and some parties at Stengade 30.

Somewhere between 18-21 CET a new DØD dj set will be aired on Danish national radio P3, including a short interview, on Unga Bunga - hosted by Kjeld Tolstrup. At 23 label mate MHM-1 is celebrating the release of his record on Tartelet Records, at Drejervej 8C, CPH NV. Line-up includes MHM-1, Melon (Ratio, NL) and Waqar. At 01 we're playing at Soundvenue party, celebrating their 25th issue as part of Kulturnatten.
Then we'll probably head back to MHM's party...
Saturday we're playing at Diesel's XXX party in Copenhagen. Don't know much about it, other than it's big and commercial and maybe a little bit awful... Hmm... Nonetheless, we'll try to shake down the building.
