Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, March 15, 2009 21:35:36 First of all, eating pizza is the thing to do on a sunday and out_4_pizza is also the place to go for your visual Sunday Soundtrack as you can see above!
This Sunday Soundtrack is by Ung Flugt who we've posted mixes by before. This one is a deep, melodic trip through some new house and minimal techno tunes finishing off with Kenton Slash Demons upcoming release for Tartelet Records. We are playing Dunkel this friday along with the Kenton boys btw.
Tracklist: 1. Moment - Damian Lazarus 2. Blanche Neige - Dop 3. My Teenage Gang - Minilogue 4. Breakdown - Caie!, John Lagora (SIS Remix) 5. Voltage- Matthias Meyer 6. Take My Breath Away - Gui Boratto 7. Interamerica - Mihalis Safras 8. Ah Chord - Worthy 9. Khattabi - Kenton Slash Demon
And for those of you who've had enough 4/4s for this weekend I'll recommend the Henri Dust Ep up for free download over at his myspace. It's a dirty blend of lo fi hip hop and damaged noise cut ups - and of course Dj Hvad was the who guided me in his direction...
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, February 22, 2009 21:48:44 Just throwing in a recommendation of an old favourite of mine, Argentinian singer/songwriter Juana Molina, who never seizes to amaze me with her delicate and yet powerfull songs rooted in traditional Spanish music set to a backdrop of modern electronics as a wonderful contrast.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, July 06, 2008 23:51:33 Here's a live performance from one of my all time favourites, LFO. Not a usual Sunday Soundtrack but then you might save it for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - at least once a day. Enjoy.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, June 29, 2008 03:39:54 This Sunday choose your own soundtrack and pick up The Great Derangement - A Terrifying True Story Of War, Politics & Religion At The Twilight Of The American Empire by Matt Taibbi. It's simply excellent and a funny eye-opener. Highly recommended.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, June 22, 2008 13:53:21 This Sunday we go deep and melodic. First a track i got recommended by Dan M. It's by H.O.S.H. and out on the wonderful label Kindisch. To begin with, I found it a bit boring, but it has really grown on me lately. Two other tracks by Detroit legend Theo Parrish, and Monolake. Have a nice Sunday.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, June 15, 2008 06:38:17 Just came home from a straight up techno session at Stengade 30 - 100% wasted. I'm ready for Sunday.. This week's Sunday Soundtrack is from Electrojuice. It seems they're both young and poetic. Enjoy!

Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, June 08, 2008 16:14:48 I'm taking away and eating in. Just chill... If you haven't had enough, check out cphdistortion.dk for some last parties and chill out stuff.
This Sunday Soundtrack should be complete silence in order to regenerate, but i'll leave you with the soothing sounds of Alice Coltrane.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, June 01, 2008 18:53:53 It's been ages since I've been posting anything so here's some random stuff from our inbox. Not the usual Sunday Soundtrack sounds but we'll catch up on that this Wednesday at Din Nye Ven where will be performing a Sunday Soundtrack live (on CD players, vinyl and Buddha Machines that is...) on a hopefully sunny afternoon. Best pop to come out of Denmark at the moment, When Saints Go Machine has just released a new single. The track Kids On Vacation was remixed by a bunch of guys, including Jacob London, Wongo and Zombie Disco Squad. You can get them all including the original mix here. Speaking of vacation, i'll be leaving for Japan in a week so no posts from me for a while. Meanwhile I just want to tell what I would do if I wasn't messing around in Tokyo night clubs... Clandestino Festival in Göteborg to see The Bug featuring Warrior Queen. Holiday at MS Halfmachine for the Oslo records night. Who's the Pussy Now to see Ladybox and our very own James Braun. And ofcourse Distortion all over Copenhagen!
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, May 25, 2008 14:24:14 This Sunday, there's only one song to my soundtrack, namely 'Sethed Seketelat' by Ethiopian singer Tlahoun Gèssèssè. Read more about him over at Wikipedia.
Sunday Soundtrack vol. 13 (to be played repeatedly):
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, May 04, 2008 17:21:25 This Sunday Soundtrack is from the BBC Radio 1's Breezeblock sessions by the experimentalists of Autechre. Have a nice Sunday!
Sunday again already? Guess so and I suggest you go listen to this mix by Mira Calix. She made it for my favourite nerd mag Wire. In the latest issue they reviewed another favourite of ours, none other than Kid Kishore!
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, March 30, 2008 20:13:49 Once again we bring you a mix by the mysterious Fuldmægtig Rolfsted. Sunday Soundtracks are usually something a bit more chilled out than this, but hey, what better way to cure your hang overs than by large amounts of bass? And just a reminder, Skream is coming to Copenhagen, April 12. Be there or be fucking... I don't even know what. We even cancelled a gig to go see him...
Dubstep mix by Fuldmægtig Rolfsted. 54.49 min. 64.8 MB (Mp3 / zShare)

Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, March 23, 2008 22:04:02 It's been some crazy easter holidays here... Which means i'm too worn out to do a real mix for the Sunday Soundtrack post. Luckily there's an easy way for you to compose your own! Go to the The Wire magazine site and check out some of their exclusive tracks available for download, there is loads of obscure and experimental music! Even if you don't want to fill your hard disc with all kinds of strange sounds the site is a good place to discover new music, read articles printed in the mag and so on - maybe even easier to digest than the actual physical magazine that can be a bit boring to read.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, March 16, 2008 16:46:35 JB is moving to a new flat but he managed to do this little indian chill out soundtrack to your sunday - somehow related to Nim the chimpanzee.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, March 09, 2008 21:12:13 This Sunday Soundtrack has the sub-title 'We Are Not Nazis', referring to a sample from a speech by Hitler in the set. Sune played the records and i played all kinds of samples, loops and effects on top, and this was one of them, which we got a bit worried about afterwards. So just to make it clear, we are not nazis!
I think we play around 40 songs or more on this set, so I can't give you a tracklist.
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, March 02, 2008 17:31:54 This Sunday Soundtrack, is just a re-post of Zzzune's set from 20 Jazz Funk Greats, 'Pattern Recognition'. Art by Martha. Enjoy!

Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, February 24, 2008 19:40:07 What a weekend. Friday we went to Pitstop in Kolding with Fredski as part of our newest outfit, Stjernefamilien, and once again the people of Kolding showed us how it should be done. Saturday, we warmed up for dj/rupture. We recorded parts of our set and dj/ruptures as well, and he agreed to do a short set for us to go with the footage, so keep an eye out for that. Later, much later, we teamed up with Fredski to play at Syg Lyd in an old factory. We played till 7 am or something, so now I'm in desperate need of a Sunday Soundtrack. Check out a short video from the Stjernefamilien set from Syg Lyd here.
Sunday Soundtrack vol. 4 is an older set by the both of us called Set 3 (People Are Subject To Change). Set 3 refers to the fact, that this was the third dj set we recorded as DØD. There's a lot going on, so the tracklist might be a bit confusing. Some of the tracks come and go several times and we played around with a lot of effects. Enjoy!

Sunday SoundtracksPosted by Zzzune Sun, February 17, 2008 16:52:40 We skipped last sunday's soundtrack but now we're back. This time i'm posting a part of a mixtape I did for Martha last year. Make sure to check out Martha's myspace and especially her blog where she post her magic psychelic drawings. Sometimes she posts her drawings over at the 20 Jazz Funk Greats blog - where another mixtape I did should be postet soon along with one of Martha's drawings. I can't really make a tracklist for this set because i forgot most of the tracks and some are obscure indian stuff I don't even know the name of... But I know that it contains names like: Masters of Illusion, Mouse On Mars, Black Dice, The Congos, Animal Collective, Kit Clayton, 8 Frozen Modules and Team Shadetek. Plus a live mash up of Duran Duran and Warrior Queen and some french childrens record... Enjoy!
Sunday SoundtracksPosted by James Braun Sun, February 03, 2008 07:51:48 Friday we attended Steppeulven, where we were nominated for the Hope Of The Year award. We didn't win, but that's ok. We had fun anyway. Saturday was the day of the first Netto Rave, and holy shit did we have fun. It was such a great night, and we'd like to thank the band, dj's and people for showing up. We had a blast and broke every record at the club! Netto Rave will be back before you know it. Now it's Sunday and time for some relaxing/distressing weirdness:
