Japan has invested in a series of roads that play out a tune as you drive on them. Uneavenly spaced ridges in the road create unique notes to play out the melody.
ArtPosted by Zzzune Thu, November 06, 2008 23:03:40 This Saturday Kenneth Anger is showing some of his films as well as playing a concert at the National Museum of Art, as part of CPH:DOX, Copenhagen documentary film festival. If I was'nt away to more rural areas, this is where I would spend my evening.

Not sure what /he/she/it is/was/will be - maybe just another bastard child of Kid Kishore's? don't think so - find out for yourselves this Thursday at this thing called No Exsistence. Also U-Turn is coming up - largest art festival in Denmark and of course they start things off with a party this friday.
Somewhere in between a heartbroken chopped and screwed producer on some extra potent syrup, the Knife and Burial lies (or more accurate maybe; crawls around) Salem, a group (maybe) consisting of a girl and a boy, (maybe) from New York, maybe not. As you can hear not much information is around about these guys. All I can say is that this is some of the most beautiful, simpel and yet original music I've heard in a very long time. Moments like that, when I first heard Salem, is by far enough to ligitimate all the tons of stupid ads, spam and what ever you get stuffed with everyday on myspace. So far they've released two CD-R's on the very inspiring Texas imprint, Disaro, (both out of print) and a 7" on Canadian label, AcéPhale. They have'nt played live yet but still manages to get some hype over at the 20JFG blog and even in NME! I asked James Nascent if we could use some of he's collages to go along the music of Salem and ofcourse he already did one for them; it was made for London Kicks but they never ran the article so here goes along with a couple others of his works. Go see his myspace for more of his great drawings and magic collages!
